Hurricane Dorian Relief in the Bahamas (2019): When a devastating Category 5 hurricane struck the Bahamas, CAFN sprang into action. Answering a call from a local pastor in Marsh Harbour, Abaco, we used a swift $1,500 donation to deliver food, snacks, school supplies, and warm jackets to children who had lost everything and were sleeping in tents during chilly winter nights.
Dominica Storm Recovery (2020): After catastrophic storms hit Dominica, our Drive for the Islands campaign focused on providing essential aid to hard-hit communities. CAFN coordinated relief that addressed local needs and supported recovery efforts, helping families rebuild their lives in the aftermath of disaster.
Bridging the Digital Divide in Jamaica (2021): The COVID-19 pandemic revealed a significant digital divide in many communities. In 2021, CAFN responded by supplying technology and support to students in Jamaica. By equipping young learners with tablets and internet access, we helped keep education within reach during lockdowns, ensuring that an entire generation wasn’t left behind.
